In Neil Simon's 'Barefoot in the Park'

'Barefoot in the Park', a romantic comedy by American playwright, scriptwriter and author Neil Simon, opened at Paytakht Theater on Monday, October 16.

Rambod Shekarabi, Hadis Fouladvand, Marzieh Sadraei and Bahram Sarvarinejad star at the comedy, Iran Theater reported.

The 75-minute play is about a young couple Corie and Paul. They are a newlywed and for their first home, they live in an apartment on the top floor of a brownstone in New York City. During the course of four days, the couple learns to live together while facing the usual daily ups-and-downs. Then, they get involved into a bad quarrel, leading to Paul leaving home.

'Barefoot in the Park' premiered on Broadway in 1963, starring Robert Redford and Elizabeth Ashley. It was made into a film in 1967.
