2,000 Food, 500 Sanitary & 500 Kid Packages Bound for Azgoleh

Mohammad Reza Darand said that theater artists dispatched 2,000 food, 500 sanitary and 500 kid packages to Azgoleh, the epicenter of a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that rocked Iran's western region, 15 off Iraq border, on Sunday evening.

The packages had been a section of assistance by Iran theater community.

Head of Kermanshah Performing Arts Association, Mohammad Reza Darand, told Iran Theater that a bank account was announced by the association and Iran Performing Arts Association in which theater artists donated cash to the quake-stricken people.

The packages, which were purchased by the donations with the assistance of Dramatic Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, had been dispatched to Azgaleh on Thursday, he added.

Food packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner for every person and special packages for under-two kids would supply their needs of ten days, he explained.

The next batch of assistance would be dispatched for the quake-hit areas within the next two days, Darand said.
