Message of Culture Minister to 36th Fadjr International Theater Festival
Theater Biggest Chance of Dialogue
Seyyed Abbas Salehi, minister of culture and Islamic guidance, sent a message to the upcoming 36th Fadjr International Theater Festival, which will open on Thursday.
The message read;
What is called "audience" in today's is a sympathy of "the other", which connects with the show through dialogue. Besides one-sided relations, an effort to establish an understanding among the shows and the audience is one of the most significant characteristics of the art, if not it ultimate objective. An artwork helps audience to reach sublimation and spectators help an artwork reach sublimation through its understanding and criticism.
It is where "dialogue" between the artwork and audience creates a dual unity whose borders are not clear. Artwork is the result of constant interaction with the other, who is watching it. This is where we can say that theater is the best expression of "dialogue" compared to the other arts because there will be no creation in theater without its spectators.
This year, 36th Fadjr International Theater Festival is celebrating dialogue of Iran Theater. It is a dialogue which is going to enhance this art in all its aspects and dimensions. The dialogue, which streams in the vessel of artwork, will gradually flow among the art lovers and turns into a "human" that we, the lovers of art, can rejuvenate thanks to its elixir…this is the miracle of theater.
