Levon Haftvan Passes Away

Levon Haftvan died of heart attack on Saturday, March 10, during the shooting of 'Bride of Darkness'.

Born on March 26, 1966 to an Armenian-Iranian family in Heshmatiyeh neighborhood of Tehran, he studied his primary and junior high school at Sahakian School and his high school at Firouz Bahram School. In 1984, Haftvan started studying performing arts at Tehran University. His bachelor thesis was 'Horse', written by Mohammad Charmshir, in 1990. He directed and acted in 'Horse', Iran Theater reported.

He starred in 'Love alleys', a short film directed by Khosrow Sinaei. He left Iran for Russia to study masters degree in theater direction there. He graduated from University of Tehran and Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts.

 He founded Lemaz Productions & Artists Management and Rira Theater Group in Canada in 1995.

He directed numerous plays in Toronto. Haftvan played in some feature films in Iran recently. He was fluent in Farsi, Armenian, Russian and English languages.

Iran Theater expresses condolences to the art community and his family.
