Deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance visited veteran theater, cinema and television actor Mohammad Ali Keshavarz. Director general of Dramatic Arts Center accompanied the deputy minister during the visit.
Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, deputy culture minister, and Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, and managing director of Iran Performing Arts Association, Armaghan Behdarvand, paid tribute to master Mohammad Ali Keshavarz in his home on Sunday, Iran Theater reported.
They invited the veteran artis to unveil calendar of theater of Iran and signing of the National Theater Day poster.
Keshavarz described the art of theatre as noble, praising the endeavor of artists to promote this art in recent years as a hopeful, leading to enthusiasm of the youth towards theatre.
He wrote down a memoir on his birthday in the calendar, which is collected and published by Iran Performing Arts Association and wished himself to see more plays during the New Iranian Year, which starts on March 21.
Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini praised master Keshavarz and wished the theater and cinema artist health.
Keshavaz signed the poster of the National Theatre Day and unveiled the calendar during the gathering.
Iran will mark the National Theatre Day on March 27.
