According To Iran Theater These days in Molavi Hall, Medea by Nahid HajiMohamadi is  on stage. Addition to Directing, she is costume designer and lighting designer. Shahzad Vojdani and Maryam Kamali are actors of the play.

Nahid HajiMohamadi tells: I was almost  faithful to Heiner Moeller's play. Medea by Heiner Müller is a different, poetic, and effective. Those who are familiar with the works of Muller can imagine what the atmosphere will be. When I read the play, although I‘ve known Heiner's style, I decided to direct it in my own way. Of course, the spirit of this work still belongs to Muller. In this way, there is no change except for a few minor cases as a slight change in the text. I have been trying to add more personal atmosphere to the work and create a space through the various mediums. In fact, a multimedia space with video, setting and performance has been created .However, we did not ignore the main elements of the play.”

Heiner Müller (1929 –1995) was a German , poet, writer, essayist, dramatist and theatre director. Described as "the theatre's greatest living poet" since Samuel Beckett, Müller is arguably the most important German dramatist of the 20th century after Bertolt Brecht. His "enigmatic, fragmentary pieces" are a significant contribution to postmodern drama and postdramatic theatre. Heiner Müller had a postmodern approach to the Medea myth,too.. His influence on the German and continental theatre scene was immense, and in Europe (outside England) he was one of the most performed contemporary playwrights. His language has great range, from a tough, lucid prose to muscular blank verse. A poet as well as a playwright, he ranks not just with Brecht, but with Goethe. Muller's achievements were recognised with many awards, including Germany's highest literary award, the Buchner Prize, very apt as he shared many qualities with the author of Woyzeck and Danton's Death.
