In an Interview with Iran Theatre:

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance: Creating the stage for performing arts should be accelerated

Iran Theater- seyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said :” We need to believe that people with disabilities are creative and active people in society, and in this way we can provide the ground and infrastructure that can make them active and creative in society.”

 Last night seyed Abbas Salehi watched the Show “Rostam and Sohrab” in Vahdat Hall.

“Rostam and Sohrab” direcred by Mirkamal Mirnasibi and performed by 30 people with disabilities whom live in Kahrizak Sanatorium goes on stage in 37 FITF , out of competition section.

Seyed Abbas Salehi believes that The show was very good, not just because it was performed by those people who were less expected, but rather it was a very impressive show. We must thank Mr. Mir Nasiri for his efforts. As he pointed out, sometimes we see the show that they  are far from us, and then we give them the right to display themselves with distant. But naturally, we need to increase our expectations as well as them. They must come to the conclusion that they can do anything like ordinary people and even better than them. There are abilities in us that can make impossible things possible. I watched a good show tonight.”

He said about economic boom in theater :” What can make the theater economy boom is to have theater infrastructure with a wider space. The possibility of more shows is provided and communication opportunities between audience and theater artists becomes better with these facilities . It seems that this path helps to make the artistic atmosphere more active, something we still have.
