Theater always appeals to me

Iran Theater-Behrouz Baghai , veteran stage ,T.V and cinema actor started acting in the of late 70’s. In the “Uppercut”, Baqahai plays the role of an elderly sick director.

Mohamadreza Gholipour’s “Uppercut: A Dangerous Comedy” goes on stage at Niavaran Cultural Center since 6 May.

For the first time, the life of an Iranian boxing girl narrates in the show, Iran Theater reported.

“Uppercut: A Dangerous Comedy” is Performance by Behrooz Baghaei, Fereshteh Farshad, Emad Abedi, Farinaz Sarraf and Voiceover by Manouchehr Valizadeh and Zahra Davoudnejad.

About working in T.V, Cinema and stage, he said:” I have always worked for people in any way that I can as an actor in or as a director. I can even be a composer, stage designer, painter and photographer of a project. I have never confined myself to a particular profession in theater, cinema, and television.”

After 10 years Behrooz Baghaei accepted a role in a show, he said:” However, the theater always appeals to me and I enjoy act in the show, and the role is a good and different, and despite the difficulty, I played this role.”

In the show”Uppercut” he plays Farzad ,a filmmaker. About the character he explained :”He is an experienced screenwriter and director but he faces some challenges in his career and life. He is unsuccessful director,though. He has no creation in his works as well.”

About Iran Theater in recent years he believed:” The important thing is to increase the number of showrooms that allow young people to work, and this is a great opportunity for young people to grow their talent.”
