“Plus Fadjr” at the 35th Festival

The section will experience its second year at the festival as the secretariat of the festival called for applicants interested to participate in the event, irantheater.ir reported.

The call for taking part at the section has been subjected to major changes.

The 35^th festival is aimed at improving the event due to its better planning and benefitting from the cooperation of the public, semi-public and private theater venues.

Although the first year of the section had seen its weak and strong points, the secretariat of the previous festival drafted a guideline based on which it had invited the volunteer theater halls to host the festival.

Iranian and non-Iranian plays, which have been staged during November 21 2015-2016, new theater productions, which are ready to be staged by November 21, 2016 and have received permission, and the bachelor and master dissertations of theater student, who have defended during September 21, 2015, can take part in the “Plus Fadjr”. The environmental and interactive performances, which can be performed in the interested theater hall, can also attend.

The secretariat of the festival calls on all interested managers of the state-, semi-state-run and private theater venues to submit the filled requests for taking part in the “Plus Fadjr” by Wednesday August 22. The deadline will not be extended given the tight time schedule of the festival.  

Seven private theater halls including Arghanoun, Baran, Da, Se Noghte, Master Mashayekhi, Moje No and Aftab will take part in the “Plus Fadjr” section, hosting 43 plays.

The 35^th Fadjr International Theater Festival will take place in Tehran from January 20. Saeed Asadi is the secretary of the festival.
