Five Artists to Write World Theatre Day Message

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the International Theatre Institute and to underline the cross-cultural and international aspect of theatre and of ITI, the Executive Council has selected five message authors to write a message – one from each of the five UNESCO Regions: Africa, the Americas, Arab Countries, Asia Pacific and Europe.

The executive council of the International Theatre Institute has selected five authors from the five UNESCO regions of Africa, the Americas, Arab Countries, Asia Pacific and Europe to write messages of the World Theatre Day.

The International Theatre Institute will celebrate its 70th Anniversary and to underline the cross-cultural and international aspect of theater and of ITI, it has selected the five artists including Ram Gopal Bajaj from India, Maya Zbib from Lebanon, Simon Mcburney from UK, Sabina Berman from Mexico and Wèrê Wèrê Liking from Ivory Coast.
The World Theatre Day is marked internationally on March 27. Iran celebrates the day as national day of dramatic arts.
