A Tribute to the old theaters

Iran Theater-Hamid Ebrahimi in the play "Lalehzar, Katozian Hotel" deals with the contemporary history of Iran during last century. This play is a social drama with humorous material that examines the social conditions of that era.

Hamid Ebrahimi is a veteran Cinema and T.v actor who never lost his attention to theater. Lalehzar, Katozian Hotel is his latest work. He writes and directs the show which is take place in Lalezar Street,an old street of Tehran which had many Theater hall. Some new Theater hall will be open very soon but some strange things happens in Katozian Hotel.

Hamid Ebrahimi said about the idea:” The main idea of ​​this play is about the reopening of a number of  theater hall in Tehran's Laleh Zar  streey in 1318, and several theaters are to be opened and a number of people have been invited from around the country .”

Hamid Ebrahimi said about a happy show:” I liked the audience to leave the hall with good moods. Meanwhile, They watched a show that has both fascinating stories and drama, and make them think.”

Is "Lalehzar, Katozian Hotel" a romantic show?

He replied:” in addition to romantic  touch ,it has a strong social approach. Love is always attractive to the audience in the form of nostalgia. A love that is mixed with art, and in the show, this is the love between the two artists. In contemporary history, we have a lot of love.”

In The Show There is a Siyah Baz character . siah Bazi show boomed in that  era.Hamid Ebrahimi said:”It was a Deliberate decision. I asked Davoud Dadashi-the last  Siah Bazi actor- to perfrom Hasan Siah In the show.”
