According to Iran Theater, The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap opened in London's West End in 1952, and has been running continuously since then. The longest running West End show, it has by far the longest initial run of any play in history, with its 25,000th performance taking place on 18 November 2012. The play is known for its twist ending, which the audience is traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theatre.

Nasser Aghaei holds a Ph.D. degree from University of Warwick, England, a master's degree from Florida State University and a BA in Performing Arts from the School of Dramatic Arts. He is a famous actor and translator.

He believes that believes the mousetrap by Agatha Christie has become a brand in England.

“I read it somewhere  that the Mousetrap has been  running from  1952  till now, perhaps about 27 or 28 thousand runs,. The British community is not a society that, like America, can accept criminal subjects very easily. In England, writers in a particular period, such as the second half of the nineteenth century, wrote some plays and books that may have been copied from each other, but there was a common sense that the suspension was in criminal theme. Some  authors can be named Arthur Conan Doyle, who wrote Sherlock Holmes, J. B. Priestley, who wrote a drama such as "Inspector enters", Patrick Hamilton, who  wrote "gaslight", as well as Agatha Christie, who all  belongs to a generation. Why is such a topic taken into consideration in a society that is so calm?”

He added:” As far as I know, even the tickets for the mousetrap have been pre-order. Some Years ago, when I saw the show in England, I   really didn’t find something special in the play. Why has the mousetrap became a brand? This causes me to think  and  to find the reason. I did not find a definite answer. "

“This question should ask leila Esmailie ,the director. She chose this play and nurtured everything, even in the text. She has tried to do some sort of rewriting that would make it more appealing to the Iranian audience. In the rewritten text, there are a lot of murders that are not the same as in the original. As the Iranian sees  any kind of films, they can also experience samething in the theater, and I do not see any conflicts. In each dramatic show that attracts and appeals to the audience, we can predict its success, and the genre of the "trap mouse" is the same. " Said Nasser Aghaee about the show of mouse traps directed by Leila Esmaeili
