Iran Theater- The book "Dramaturgy and writing practice of ward No. 6" was published by Mahris Publishing House in 450 pages.

Nasser Hosseini-Mehr, a author, researcher, teacher and long-time director of Iranian theater, announced his latest book, "Dramaturgy and Practice Writing of ward No. 6"was published by Mahris Publishing House in 450 pages.

"Ward No. 6" is an 1892 novella by Anton Chekhov that he had adopted to a show 15 years ago in Molavai Hall.

He explained about his book, "Ward No. 6 rehearsal recording is actually a recording of unrepeatable experiences of a group, especially recording very pure and perhaps difficult but enjoyable moments in the art of acting and directing. Moments that are usually impromptu and then disappear, and even in the performance, you can't trace them; The moments where the players embody all their creativity and unfortunately the audience do not have the chance to see them in the rehearsals.”

Hosseini-Mehr emphasized: "I believe that these moments can be recorded forever with practice writing so that they remain in memories and can be used and researched by future generations."

Pointing out that the group of "Ward No. 6" had a special quality and characteristic, Hosseini -Mehr said: "The crew consisted of several generations of Iranian artists, such as Mr. Khosrow Hakim Raabet and Jafar Vali, to the 20-year-old young man."

Hosseini-Mehr explained: "The dramaturg was and is a link between the playwright and the team, from the director to the cast an

d designers of a work. The necessity of dramaturgy in theater was when the structure of classical works had to be detailed, clarified and analyzed. I was in charge of the dramaturgy in "ward No. 6" and some of my other works.

At the end of his speech, this veteran Iranian theater director stated: Dramaturgy is as important as directing and is very necessary. In Iranian theater, they have realized the importance of dramaturgy, but unfortunately, dramaturgy has not gained its proper and deserved place.
