Some Details of the 14th International Ritual-Traditional Theater Festival

IRAN THEATER – The press conference took place in the conference hall of the city theater in the presence of the festival’s artistic director, Mohammad Hussein Naser Bakht, Hamid Reza Ardalan responsible for holding the festival’s seminars, and the director of the Dramatic Arts Center’s public relations, Mohammad Rasoul Sadeghi.

 “We try to introduce traditional theater to the individuals interested in the subject and the students from all around the world.” Mohammad Hussein Naser Bakht said. “Last year we hold the first seminar beside the 13^th festival, and faced qualitative development in the field of research.”

 “There was a possibility that part of the foreign troupes do not take part in the festival due to some problems, therefore this year we invited more participants. The presence of 5 countries such as Bulgaria, South Korea, and Italy has got firmed up so far.” He affirmed about the presence of the foreign participants.

“Our mission is to maintain such festivals, and also we have tried to pay more attention to the interdisciplinary researches.” Hamid Reza Ardalan told reporters. “This year, thirteen countries have taken part in the seminar; such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Norway, and USA.”

“The collection of the last seminar essays and the essays of the recent seminar will be printed and will be available for who interested. We have also tried to include some discussions on the eastern and Iranian theater.” He continued.

 “The subway station of the city theater will be inaugurated by the middle of Jan.” Mohammad Rasoul Sadeghi said, pointing to a meeting with the headquarters of metro. “However, they have promised to make a prestigious ambient around the city theater for the sake of festival.”

The 14th International Ritual-Traditional Theater Festival will take place from Jul 30 to Aug 7 in Tehran.
