Italian Astuteness

The festival is about to finish, however, the venues and court-yard of the city theater become more and more crowded. Also some well-known faces came in sight among the public. Now read some observations of our reporter:

The Spectators on Stage

After the performance, the director, Stefano Ghiunci, invited the public to come onto the stage and observe the puppets –which were like Iranian marionette characters. The director and the troupe were so affable and amiably explained about the puppets. Ghiunci staged a production based on the similarities between Italian Punchinello and the Iranian puppets, called Mobarak and Pahlevan Kachal (Bald Athlete). It is mentionable that he had used so many Iranian elements, that is to say, he had actually carried coal to Newcastle and represented an Iranian work to Iranians!
