Nosrat Karimi was Iran's oldest puppet artist

Iran Theater- Ardeshir Salehpoor, the head of Iran's UNIMA, wrote in a note on the death of Nusrat Karimi.

Iran Theater- Ardeshir Salehpoor, the head of Iran's UNIMA, wrote in a note on the death of Nosrat Karimi. He wrote that Professor Nosrat Karimi was an honorary and renowned member of the International Union of Puppets, who was recognized as the oldest Iranian puppet artist by UNIMA last year

In his note, Ardeshir Salehpoor  wrote as it followes:

Nusrat Karimi, a renowned puppet theater figure and a pioneer in the field, died at age 96.

He was a creative and inventive artist, and had special skills in various fields of art including theater, cinema, animation, sculpture and puppet making. He was also one of the first to teach and teach makeup and mask making in various colleges around the country.

Professor Nosrat Karimi was an honorary member and renowned figure of the International Union of Puppets (Mubarak of Iran), which last year was recognized by UNIMA as the oldest Iranian puppet artist in the world, and was among the honorary members of the International Puppet Show Association.

His efforts and services in the field of puppetry are undeniable and he is one of the prominent masters of this field of art in Iran who has always been a favorite and respected puppet family.
