Parizad Saif to Restage “ The Swan Song”

Iran Theater- Parizad Saif, veteran stage actress and director, will restage show “ The swan song” in three cities, Iran Theater reported.

She holds a master's degree in acting and has been influential in theater for many years. “I don't know what will happen tomorrow”, “a room at the Plaza Hotel”, “the story of Zahak” , “ the Chinese driver” and “The Swan song”are some of important works of Saif.

“This year, I am going to prepare two foreign plays, and due to the conditions and the closure of the theaters because of  Cornavirus pandemic, it is still too early to announce the names. After the situation normalizes, I am waiting to negotiate with several theaters owners.” She said.

 

She added:” In February, I was negotiating for performances in several cities in Iran and abroad, and we are scheduled to stage The Swan Song  in Abadan, Ahvaz, and Shiraz in late spring or early summer.  This was the request of  theater officials t of these cities, which had coordinated with the provincial affairs of Performing Arts Center and Mr. Hassan Rondeh coordinated. In my opinion, performing classical plays is a great and good opportunity for theater enthusiasts in the cities to get familiar with these good and prominent foreign works, and Professor Saeed Poursamimi welcomed this issue very much.”

She emphasized: My main job is acting and I have a special interest in acting. Sometimes I read plays that I have been interested in during my lifetime and have always wanted to work on, and in this type of case I prefer to direct the play myself. That's why sometimes I direct under certain conditions.”
