Mehrdad Rayani_Makhsous joined "Global Hope”

Iran Theater- The project of performing 100 plays based on The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio, a 14th-century Italian writer living in Romania, was launched with the motive of connecting countries and theater artists with the slogan " Global Hope " .

The Decameron, subtitled Prince Galehaut and sometimes nicknamed l'Umana commedia ("the Human comedy", as it was Boccaccio that dubbed Dante Alighieri's Comedy "Divine"), is a collection of novellas by the 14th-century Italian author Giovanni Boccaccio (1313–1375). The book is structured as a frame story containing 100 tales told by a group of seven young women and three young men; they shelter in a secluded villa just outside Florence in order to escape the Black Death, which was afflicting the city. Boccaccio probably conceived of The Decameron after the epidemic of 1348, and completed it by 1353.

This project will be started by the largest Romanian theater National Theater Craiova in collaboration with directors from 100 countries on Wednesday, Feb 26, 2021 and is dedicated to one country every day.

 

Mehrdad Rayani_Makhsous  ,the  Iranian playwright and theater director, will present his play next Monday at 21:30 in the form of a online perfromance on platform https://hektomeron.com/. The first story of the eighth part is a piece narrated by Ryani's group. Romanita UNESCO accompanies Ryani as an actress.
