'End of the Game' is directed by Afshin Zamani at Sangelaj Theater. Mr Mazloumi plays the role of a king of an oriental country. Iran Theater has interviewed Mr Mazloumi to talk more about his role.
How do you explain the world of acting for you?
First of all, I think correct reading of the play written by playwright is the window to the world of acting for every actor or actress. The world of acting includes thinking, idea and creativity. The world I pictured as an actor for myself is a combination of the surrounding environment, relationships between humans and analysis of each play. For instance, I study playing in the role of a writer as what he could reflect in his behaviors and then I will adapt it with the character I have chosen for him. Then I will be going deep down to his other layers. I believe acting is playing in the pool of now.
How did you choose the role of a king of an oriental country in 'End of the Game'?
The character of the king is not sophisticated but influential. The king does not have negative and positive dimensions in his character but he tries to show off as a rich man who can have everything he wants. In another approach, he is a pleasant character who is inclined to everywhere whose demands are met. This characteristic makes him different of other roles.
