Director General of Tehran Governor General for Women Affairs on 'Cooing of Shrine Doves'
Picturing Social Disorders for Ordinary People

Director general of Tehran Governor General for women affairs, Soraya Shareghi, noted cinema director Naser Taghvaei and theater actor and director Hossein Pakdel opened 'Cooing of Shrine Doves' on Thursday.
Soraya Shareghi said after watching the piece that it dealt with women who had been the most vulnerable layer of the society against social disorders, Iran Theater reported.
She added that director and writer of the play were trying to picture different and numerous woes and pains of women through picturing twelve female characters and their coordination with the cooing and victimhood of the shrines dove as well as they resort to the eight Shiite Imam Reza (AS) whose holy shrine is located in northeastern city of Mashhad.
The official said that the common pains of these women were known by the men while the society always unfairly blame female population for these woes.
Ms Shareghi added that writer and director singled out extremism in the past history of these women as one of the reasons behind their woes.
In general the play was picturing social disorders and problems in a simple language, which could be understood by people from every class of the society, she concluded.
Shiveh (Method) Theater Group performs 'Cooing of Shrine Doves', which written by Alireza Naderi and is directed by Afsaneh Mahian.
Twelve women characters of the play are starred by Marzieh Badragheh, Behnaz Jafari, Nahid Moslemi, Masih Kazemi, Atefeh Razavi, Forough Ghajabegli, Marzieh Vafamehr, Yalda Abbasi, Farzaneh Soheili, Giti Qasem, Shaghayegh Dehghan and Shayda Khaligh.
Manouchehr Shoja' is set, costume and lighting designer, Amir Esmi graphic designer, Bamdad Afshar music composer, Touraj Saminipour producer, Zaman Vafajouei first assistant director and planner, Rojan Kordnejad second assistant director and producer assistant, Nona Nisi and Ashkan Jazabian set directors and Alborz Taymourzadeh photo and videos.
'Cooing of Shrine Doves' has performance every day except for Saturdays at Shahrzad Theater Complex at 19:00.
