Biuk Mirzaei and Hassan Mehmani attend the stand of Iran Theater at 23rd Media Exhibition in Tehran.
Hassan Mehmani is a veteran theater, cinema and television actor and a student of Anahita Theater. He came to Iran Theater stand to take part in a ceremony to pay tribute to Mostafa Oskouei, founder of Anahita Theater and his mentor, Iran Theater reported.
Mehmani said that Mr Oskouei lived with his love for theater and the theater was his reason of death too.
Apart from teaching his students acting, Mehmani said, Mr Oskouei taught them indirectly how to read book and have a healthy lifestyle and to be a true human above all.
Biuk Mirzaei, another student of Mr Oskoeui and a veteran theater, cinema and television actor, said that they loved their job when they were learning acting in Anahita Theater and Mr Oskouei taught them how to live the life fully besides acting.
He regretted that some who held grudges against him for no reasons created obstacles for him, adding that Mr Oskouei must be introduced more for the youth to know him and the students he had educated.
A number of his students at Anahita Theater including Kazem Hajirazad, Farhad Tajvidi, Biuk Mirzaei, Nahid Moslemi, Hassan Mehmani and Rasoul Najafian are going to take part in the commemoration ceremony of Mr Oskouei’s 12th death anniversary at Iran Theater stand.
Also, the director and actors of ‘The Colonel’ is set to gather in Iran Theater stand at the exhibition, which opened on Saturday with the speech of vice president, Eshaq Jahangiri. 'The Colonel', which is written and directed by Kheirollah Tagianipour, tries to picture part of Iran contemporary history (the Qajar dynasty) and dominance of ignorance, dependency and lack of patriotism among Iranians during the era. Atabak Nader who stars in 'The Colonel' understands his role as Amin-odoleh very well.
The 100-minute play has performance every day except for Saturdays at 19:30 at main auditorium of the City Theater Complex.
Artists, officials and lovers of theater are welcomed at the stand of Iran Theater at the exhibition until November 3.
Visitors can take a look at the weeklong exhibition from 9 am till 8 pm.
