'The Father' at Shahrzad Theater Complex

'The Father', which is directed by Mahmoud Zandehnam, will open at Shahrzad Theater Complex within the next two weeks.
Mahmoud Zandehnam's 'The Father' is produced by Omid Pirayandeh and will open at Shahrzad Theater Complex on November 20.
'The Father' is a 2012 play by French playwright Florian Zeller in 2012, which won in 2014 the Molière Award for Best Play in 2014. Sanaz Fallahfard translated the play into Farsi, Iran Theater reported.
Renowned Iranian dubber Changiz Jalilvand will make his first theater presence after the 1979 Islamic revolution in the play.
Mirtaher Mazloumi, Faghiheh Soltani, Mohsen Bahrami, Sanaz Fallahfard and Sogol Khaleghi will play in the piece.
Production assistant is Negar Verdi, music Farshad Rahimizand, chorus, Tandis Ahmadvand, costume designer Parandeh Aabi (Sanaz Farahani), assistant costume designer Setareh Fallahfard, photographer Ahmad Balbasi, media advisor Mahsa Hemmati assistant director Mahyar Alambeigi and Hossein Naeeni, planner Sanaz Fallahfard and set designer Mahmoud Zendehnam.
Florian Zeller’s play is about Andre, an elderly man with dementia, whose daughter Anne tries to balance her love for her father and his need for care and the demands of her own life and relationship.
The Guardian gave the London production of 'The Father' in 2014 "a rare five-star review, calling it 'a savagely honest study of dementia,' and named it best play of the year.
