Poster of Red Tulip Theater Festival Unveiled

The 23rd Red Tulip Theater Festival has unveiled its official poster on Saturday in a ceremony attended by Andimesh Friday prayers leader, governor, head of Culture and Islamic Guidance Department and theater artists.

Ali Bazgir, head of Andimesh Culture and Islamic Guidance Department, said that the 23rd Red Tulip Theater Festival would be held in late November in the southeastern city to promote religious values and culture by taking role models from Islamic rituals and manifestations as well as commemorating the martyrs of the bombardments on November 24, 1986, Iran Theater reported.

The Saddam Hussein bombarded civilian targets 1.45 minutes on that day with 52 warplanes. 75 civilians were martyred in the bombardments.

Mr Bazgir said that the festival would have two stage and street sections in which the former is aimed at competition coupled with vibrancy and the former reflecting creativity and innovation of theater artists.

The plays, which were submitted to the festival until November 11, had been reviewed by November 19, he said, adding that the festival would start on November 27 and would close on December 1.
