Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance for artistic affairs, visited secretariat of the 36th Fadjr International Theater Festival on Saturday.
Hosseini was accompanied with Mahdi Afzali, managing director of Contemporary Arts Development Institute, Iran Theater reported.
Hosseini, which is newly appointed as deputy culture minister, is visiting the bodies under his management to evaluate it.
He has been an artist and cultural directors for years. Hosseini visited the City Theater Complex and the Contemporary Art Museum a few days ago to have an insight of them.
Given the incoming Fadjr Theater Festival, Hosseini intends to visit secretariats of theater, music, visual arts and fashion and costume festivals to evaluate them in quality and quantity.
Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, Farhad Mohandespour, director of the festival, Payman Shariati, director of the City Theater Complex, Saeed Asaid, deputy director general of Dramatic Arts Center for international affairs and advisor to the festival's director, Ali Asghar Dashti, deputy director of the festival, Arvand Dashtaray, festival's international director, Parisa Moghtadi, Honar Hall's director and director of Review Section of the festival, Yousef Bapiri, director of Plus One Section of the festival, Mahdi Rezakhani, art director of the festival, and a number of members of the secretariat of the festival were present during the visit.
Deputy minister thanked the activities and works done in the secretariat, saying that members of the theater family were so talented and wise that could capture the hearts of all Iranians through their creativities.
Some international guests are invited to the festival to have a chance to learn from them and recreate their teachings after adaptation with the Iranian culture, he said, adding that some meetings will be held in the coming days to organize the festival in the best way.
Hosseini stressed that the shortfalls of the previous editions of the festival must be diagnosed to take lessons from the past and make a better future.
