Winners of 8th Dramatic Literature Event Announced

The ceremony was attended by a number of artists at conference hall of Dialogue Park on Saturday, Iran Theater reported.

Bahram Jalali read the statement of the jury members of the section and the winners received awards from Soheila Najm.

In translated plays section, Mohammad Reza Khaki for 'Scorched' by Wajdi Mouwad, Nahid Qaderi for 'The Spanish Tragedy' by Thomas Kyd were honored while the top award was given to Abbas Ali Ezzati for 'Don Quixote' by Mikhail Bulgakov.

Hossein Pakdel read out the statement of the jury for the original plays and the winners received the awards from Hossein Pakdel and Nahid Tabatabei.

On the original plays, Nader Borhani Marand for 'Tehran under the Wing of Angels' and Mohammad Rahmanian for 'Horses; Year 1980' were acclaimed by the jury while Naghmeh Samini received the top award for 'House'.

Boutimar and Bidgol publishing houses were named the top publishers.

Hamid Amjad, Mohammad Rahmanian, Mohammad Amir Yarahmadi, Kazem Hajirazad, Ebrahim Poshtekouhi, Hossein Pakdel, Shahram Zargar, Reza Sarvar, Jamshid Jahanzadeh, Soheila Najm, Javad Atefeh and Salma Salamati were among renowned artists attended the ceremony.
