To Celebrate 79th Birthday of Maestro Bahram Beyzaei

'Arash' to Be Performed

'Arash', which is written by Bahram Beyzaei, Iran's renowned playwright, director and researcher, will be read by performers to celebrate his 79th birthday.

The performers will read the play at 18, Friday, at the City Theater Complex, Iran Theater reported.

The play-reading performance is directed by Hadi Sarvari. Performers are Shirin Samadi, Alireza Jalali-Tabar and Hadi Sarvari.  

Bahram Beyzaei has permited the performance and it will be performed with three days of delay.

Hadi Sarvari has directed reading sessions of 10 plays by Barham Beyzaei but he regards 'Arash' as his best direction.

Born on 26 December, 1938, Bahram Beyzaei is an acclaimed film director, playwright, theater director, screenwriter, film editor, film producer and researcher.

His father was a poet. Beyzaei is considered the greatest playwright ever of the Persian language, and hold a reputation of Shakespeare of Persia.

He has been living in the US and teaching at Stanford University since 2010.
