'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh' to Host Journalists & Critics

'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh', which written and directed by Afshin Hashemi, will host photographers and critics on the three beginning days of its performance at Shahrzad Theater Complex.
'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh' will open at Shahrzad Theater Complex on January 3. The show will have performance at 21:15 every day except for Saturdays, Iran Theater reported.
The show cannot host photographers during the new round of the performance because it had hosted them in the previous round.
Golab Adineh, renowned theater and cinema actress, stars in 'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh'. Adineh plays Siah, a blackface, mischievous and forthright harlequin in Iranian folk performing art who does improvisation to stir laugher in the show.
The last play directed by Afshin Hashemi was five years ago. His 'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh', was published in 2012.
'Lions of Khan Baba Saltaneh' tells the story of Qajar King Naser al-Din Shah (1831-1896) when he decided to build the country’s first zoo in Tehran and keep wild animals there.
Afshin Hashemi, Mona Farjad, Mohammad Reza Maleki, Shahram Masoudi, Alireza Nasehi, Vahid Nafar, Mohammad Reza Azadfar, Fatemeh Haydari, Rayhaneh Salamat, Elnaz Soleimani, Ehsan Bayatfar, Mania Alijani, Milad Ramezani Varjavand, Mahdi Panahi, Shahrouz Zaafar, Mobin Dodangi, Saber Golmohammadi and Moen Taheri Tari star in the show.
