Director general of Dramatic Arts Center has invited theater lovers and artists not to lose offstage section of the 36th Fadjr International Theater Festival because the event is hosting a couple of really good foreign groups.
Mahdi Shafiee, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, said that one of the acclaimed measures taken by organizers of the festival was theater residencies, which were underway these days, Iran Theater reported.
The official, who was visiting the residencies on Monday, said that they had two advantages; paving the way for Iranian artists to share experiences with artists from other countries as well as interaction between theater artists with experts of other fields.
Shafiee said that theater should not be restricted to theater artists and experts and paving the ground for dialogue between artistic fields is a must, adding that it was the reason for performing arts residencies during the festival.
He said that the result of these residencies would be clear on Friday, adding that offstage section of the festival would be one of its attractive sections.
The official said that he watched 'Invisible Cities' from Italy at Qasr Garden Museum, describing it as innovative and enthralling.
Shafiee said that he would use the opportunity to invite theater lovers not to restrict their time watching performances at theater venues but to see offstage shows and get new ideas.
