An Interview with Farzin Mohades, Theater Actor

Macondo's Angel Become More Introvert

Iran Theater: Farzin Mohades has a career in theater spanning a decade. He started his acting as a university student. Mohades graduated acting at Soureh University in 2005. He is a member of Shalizeh Theater Group and taught body language and expression at Tehran Film and Culture Institute.

He talks more about his acting, explaining his role in 'Macondo', which was staged at the City Theater Complex and Iranshahr Theater Complex in the past. It was welcomed by audience. It is being performed at Paliz Theater Complex again.

On the changes in acting team of 'Macondo', which is written by Gabriel García Márquez, Mohades said that Minoush Rahimian and Bahram Safari replaced Afsaneh Mahian and Bahram Afshari in the new performance respectively.

About the change in his acting style as angel, Mohades said that the changes had been made in the character of the angel with the approval of the director to make him more introvert. "My moves have become less and focused on emotions of the angel, avoiding many physical movements."  

He said 'Macondo' connects to the audience very well while it has a correct direction and acting structures. "Everything is correctly fit in its place to have an amazing show. We have a few plays that are based on magic realism on stage todays."

Arash Parsakhou has adapted the play for stage. Azadeh Ansari is the director of 'Macondo'. Nader Borhani Marand has done the dramaturgy. It is produced by Masoud Hokmabadi, starring Farzin Mohades, Ramin Sayyar Dashti, Minoush Rahimian, Marziyeh Imankhani, Farzaneh Agheli, Fatemeh Abbasi and Bahram Afshari.
