Mohammad Hadi Ataei to Iran Theater:
Deputat to Stage on March 27

Iran Theater: Mohammad Hadi Ataei has been active in recent years. He has cooperated as actor with theater directors like Kheirollah Taghianipour and Sanaz Bayan. A graduate of acting from High Acting School, Ataei has starred in stage plays and directed street shows.
The plays starred by him include 'Whose Life Is This?', 'Troop, Trope', 'Samanou', 'Berlin', 'The Four-Storey Blue', 'Paradise Road', 'Angels on the Sky of the City' and Butterflies'.
Hadi Ataei told Iran Theater that he was rehearsing for playing 'Deputat', which is directed by Atabak Naderi. He plays a priest named Prometheus. A protégé of the cardinal, who is a charlatan.
He added that rehearsals continue and the young Prometheus is a simpleton who gets involved in some matters, trying to reveal the cardinal's charlatanism with the help of Demetrius.
Although behaviors of Prometheus seem foolish, Ataei said, the audience will notice to the end of the play that he is noble.
The play will open at Shahrzad Theater Complex on March 27, Ataei said.
'Deputat' is originally named 'Liar Wanted', written by Greek playwright Dimitris Psathas. Naderi has renamed the play for the performance in Tehran.
The play is a comedy, revolving around Theodoros Parlas or Pseftothodoros (Liar Theo). He has talents to make false promises.
