Iran’s culture min. meets with Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al-Maliki in Baghdad
The world sees an alliance between Iran and Iraq

The Iranian delegation has visits on new cultural and artistic cooperation.
During the visit Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al- Maliki’s said: "Today, the world sees the unity and bonding of our countries.”
The Iranian cultural delegation has so far met with different Iraqi officials and politicians including Vice President Nouri Al-Maliki, the head of National Wisdom Movement Ammar Hakim and Head of Al-Iraqi Network to discuss further cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Maliki, during his meeting with Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, said: "Through the existence of an alliance between the two countries of Iran and Iraq, we see good cooperation in various cultural fields."
The former prime minister added that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran became a free country and culture became one of the foundations of the activities of the Iranian Revolution.
Al-Maliki continued, today, we see that Iran's scientific rank is among the top eight countries in the world, and this signifies the intellectual and cultural maturity of the country.
Al-Maliki believes that the world sees an alliance between Iran and Iraq.
The head of National Wisdom Movement Ammar Hakim met with Seyyed Abbas Salehi.
At this meeting, he said that after the defeat of ISIS, good steps have been taken to develop Iraq, and the Islamic Republic, with its cooperation, has deepened ties between the two countries.
Hakim said: "The new Iraq is a friend of Iran, and the Iraqi people are aware of this and are happy with it."
Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also expressed his satisfaction with the visit.
“According to the document of the cultural and artistic agreement between the two countries, cooperation in various fields, such as cinematic, artistic and cultural, has been developed and will increase day by day.” Said Seyed Abbas Salehi
He added :" we are ready to cooperate and share our experiences.”
The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also highlighted the importance of the child and adolescent sector and the need for cooperation in this regard.
Salehi said that Iran and the new Iraq, which have become stable after many problems, can benefit from the development of relations.
