The Regulations of The Fajr International Theater Festival to be announced

Shahram Karami, General  director of the performing arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance announced that  regulations of the Fajr International Theater Festival  have been drafted and will be announced soon.

"One of my priorities was the Fajr Theater Festival and the election of its director. First of all, I decided to set up a program for the Fajr International Theater Festival.” said  Shahram Karami about  director selection  of the 27th Fajr  International Theater Festival.

He stated: "In the past, some of the festivals director announced that the festival needed a codenamed program, but it was never happened. Fortunately, with the help of experts, we have developed the Regulations for the Festival. The regulations have been presented to the Deputy Minister of Culture and I hope he will approve the rules. It should be noted that the regulation was at the request of the deputy Minister.”

 He explained:” According to these regulations, Choosing Festival Director is under the supervision of the policy-making council of the festival. The council includes of several well-known artists and executives.”

At the end he stressed:” A person will be selected as the CEO of the Dramatic Arts Association, who will continue good past activities, such as supporting theater acting in the cities, and will be able to continue   programs of association.”
