I will direct Heartless by Sam shepard in the summer

Iran Theater-Ahmadmohamd Esmaeeli: In recent years, Ashkan Khatibi, in collaboration with Muhammad Rahmanian, has experienced a successful career in theater. For several years, he was manager  of Charsoo Cineplex. In addition to his effective collaboration with Mohammad Rahmanian, Ashkan Khatibi  has been working with such great people as  Alireza Kososhk Jalali and the late Homa Rusta.  Ashkan Khatibi , actor, singer and musician got his B.A in Drama  from Islamic Azad university.  Also,He plays piano, guitar. Apart from music and acting, he is a translator. He’s translated English plays into Persian. He’s a member of a musician group called “Traffic Group”, too.

Khatibi says: After successful performance of The Ten Years of loneliness in the Vahdat Hall, I have already translated Heartless by Sam Shepard; this is my third translation of Sam Shepard's plays. This was written in 2013, two years before Sam Shepard death.

“I have a particular interest in Shepherd's style of writing, and Heartless is a one of the good plays. The show is feminine and all characters are women except one.” says he about the theme.

Ashkan  khatibi prefers to be just director and not to act in the Heartless play.

Ashkan Khatibi thinks the Hafez Hall is the best stage to play.
