150 puppets have been exhibited in Azadi Tower

“The Puppet inTime" exhibition opened at the Azadi Tower on Thursday, with more than 150 puppets collected from private and public collections.
“The Puppet inTime" exhibition opened at the Azadi Tower on Thursday, with more than 150 puppets collected from private and public collections.
According to Iran Theater, “The Puppet in Time” has been held to keep the puppets show tradition alive. It has opened on the occasion of the International Museum Day in the Azadi Tower, Tehran. The exhibition has been sponsored by various organizations.
On the opening day of the exhibition, Various directors and artists were present like Ahmed Tabatabaei, Head of the Aikom Organization and Deputy Director of the Heritage Research Center, Homa Jedikar, Director of the Department of Puppet Theater of the University of Tehran, Ali Akbar Safipour, Managing Director of Rudaki's Art and Cultural Foundation, Ardeshir Salehpour, Member of the National Committee of Aikom and Chairman of Unima, Nematollah Payan, Babak Sheibani, Director of the Training Center for Rudaki Foundation, Gholam Hossein Shah Ali, Head of the Vahdat Hall.
There are a number of puppets which registered in the Cultural Heritage List. These puppets belong to different cities of Iran such as “Dotook” from South Khorasan, “Dahtodook” from Qeshm Island, “Lili Bazbazak” from Khozestan province,”Takam” from Ardabil .
The Puppet In Times will be held in Azadi Tower until the 3th of June.people can visit the exhibition from 9:30 to 17:00. The holidays are closed.
