The best way to learn children peace is through the art

In the opening ceremony of the Musical  The Goat with a Bell –foot by Shirin Kashefi, there were prominent figures including Rakhshan Bani Etemad (renowned Iranian director), Hussein Moazen (new director of the Honar Theater Hall) and Mahnaz Aryanfar(a well-known teacher of Tehran's kindergartens).

According to Iran Theater, in the opening ceremony of The Goat with a Bell –foot, which was held at the Honar Theater hall with the presence of the some cultural figures inluding Rakhshan Banyatmad and a large crowd of spectators with their children, Rakhshan Banyatmad also spoke.

Prior to the Performance, Shirin Kashefi first spoke about the style of the play and the state of theater for children and adolescents. Her speech came up with criticisms about the conditions of the theater, and the inadequate relationship of families with this valuable art.

Rakhshan Bani Etemad, before speaking, urged the children in the auditorium to stand up and the parents encouraged them for thirty seconds! This beautiful move was welcomed by the audience.

 

Rakhshan Bani Etemad admired the late Mahmood Bahadori (Author of The Goat with a Bell –foot) and Turan Mirhadi (a professor of children's literature, author and expert in education).

She said:” The author of this show loved people. He loved the world. It was very humorous. His name was Mahmoud and his family name was Bahadori. He wrote and made movies. I must also say that I am honored to have been accompanied by Turan MirHadi, the mother of Iranian education, with Mojtaba MirTahmasb in the year 2012. Parents need to know her. "

The director of "The Stories"  recalled: "I want to say a historical sentence from Touran Mirhadi. She have a book called "Peace Be taught" and I tell you ,young parents that the best way to learn children about  peace  is through the art. "

The musical "The Goat with a Bell-foot" is on stage every day, except Saturdays, at 19:30 in the Honar  Theater Hall at Mofattah St. on the south side of Shahid Shiroudi Stadium.
