Bringing the spirit of revolution into the art field is a worthwhile work

Hassan Khomeini who has been called "the most prominent" grandchild of the late Imam Khomeini, was at the closing ceremony of the fifth Khordad popular Theater Festival in Hosniyyah Jamaran.

According to Iran Theater, at the closing ceremony, officials and several people were present, including Seyyed Hasan Khomeini, SheikhAli Tarafi, Ayatollah Mousavi Khoinihah, Sayed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance,Seyed Mojtaba Hoseini, Shahram Karami, Mohsen Momeni Sharif, Koroush zarei, Hamid Nili, Amir Hossein Shafiei, Tohid Masoumi, Mehdi Shafiei, Mohammad Mehdi Heidarian, , Ahmad Darvish, Gholamreza Mousavi, Alireza Rezadad, Peyman Shariati, Manouchehr Mohammadi, Abdolreza Akbari.

 

Several officials spoke at the ceremony. Koroush zarei, Director General of Hoze Honari Organization , the sponsor of the Festival  said:” The Khordad popular Theater Festival aims to introduce the ideas of Imam Khomeini  in the world. It is the duty of Hoze Honari organization to produce works on issues like thoughts and paths of the Imam Khomeini, 8 years of defense and the Islamic Revolution. Currently, Iranian theater has got different awards in various international festivals that I hope Iranian theater will introduce the ideals of the Imam Khomeini in other countries.”

 

Seyed  Hasan Khomeini also spoke at the ceremony. He said:” The Performing Arts Center and Hoze Honari Organization has done a very valuable job in organizing the Khordad popular theater festival, I hope that the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will always support theater.

The revolution was an art that brought together people's hearts and unity, in which Imam Khomeini was a great artist who could reconcile the hearts. If we say today that we need art, it means that we need unity and the artist is protected to creating this unity.”

 

At the end of his speech, he said:” Bringing art in the atmosphere of revolution or bringing the spirit of revolution into the art is a worthwhile work. I hope the theater and the street theater basically will be improved with young artists.”

At the end of the closing ceremony, the winners were awarded.
