Jalal Ghalekhani as a Director of the 13th Mariwan International Street Theater Fest.

In a statement Shahram Karami, the General Director of performing Art Center, appoints Jalal Ghalekhani as a new Director of the 13^th Marivan International Street Theater Fest.

According to Iran Theater, In Part of this statement is written:” The Mariwan International Street Theater Fest, as the most important event in the field of theater outside the stage, after twelve periods and consolidation of its status, now requires the promotion of the artistic status and qualitative excellence in holding as an international and popular event. "

In this statement, the province of Kurdistan and the border town Mariwan, the honorable people of the area and the natural, urban and human capabilities of this province are taken into consideration. Full knowledge of the capacities, accurate and up to date planning, and creative, coherent and efficient conduct are required to promote the status of the Mariwan International Street Theater Festival.

Mariwan is a city in – and the capital of – Marivan County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 91,664, in 22,440 families. Before the foundation of the town in 1950s, Marîwan was the name of the region.The spoken language in the city is Kurdish, but the language which is used in schools and offices is Farsi, since the official language in Iran is Persian Almost everyone in the city are fluent in Farsi.

The thirteenth Mariwan International Street Theater Festival will be held in Mariwan from 1 to 4 September 2018.
