Sadr al-Din Shajareh, a veteran writer and director of radio show, passed away tonight after bearing a long time sickness. Sadr al-Din Shajareh, a broadcaster, presenter, actor, playwright, and radio director for several years, suffered from a rare illness for many years. He was born in 1952. He worked as a radio show director more than four decades. His latest show was the perfume of tea which is broadcasted last month.
Mikail Shahhestānī, a veteran actor and stage director, said: "Artists now need more attention than anything else, and Sadr al-Din Shajara was one of the artists who, in his lifetime, did not appreciate as much.We missed him. Every artist in each field who is active becomes an identity of that field. In the cinema, there are great people who formed the identity, in the theater so does, and on the radio, Sadr al-Din was part of its identity.”
He added:” It is a pity that at the time of their death, we are remembered the artists and we do not appreciate them during their lives.”
In the Parade of Blind, 35 actors have performances. It’s based on Self-accused by Peter Handke and Animation Tango made by Zbigniew Ribczski. Peter Handke is an Austrian novelist, playwright and translator. His writings about the Yugoslav Wars and subsequent NATO bombing of Yugoslavia with criticism of the Western position and his speech at the funeral of Slobodan Milošević have caused controversy, and he has been widely described as an apologist for far-right Serbian nationalism.
