Sharam Karami: The Damavand Theater season shows a great transformation in Tehran's theater

Shahram Karami, the  director general of the performing arts center, cited the "Damavand Theater Season" as a sign of a great transformation in Tehran's theater.

According to Iran Theater, Shahram Karami, the  director general of the performing arts center, at the opening ceremony of the Damavand Theater Season, which was held in  the Parastoo Theater in Damavand city, said, "Thinking of performing dramatic works in small cities is an issue that we must focus on today and  It’s one of the serious needs of our theater. It's a good thing to do what's called the Damavand Theater Season. In fact, I have to say that this was a useful event that took place in the province, and a very tactful contribution to the development and improvement of the theater's art in the province of Tehran.”

Karami added: "The great thing about this is to prepare the performance for a popular audience that can have good results for our theater.”

The director general of the performing arts  Center continued to emphasize that on behalf of the theater family I was obliged to express my gratitude and to thank all those who have brought this dynamic and active movement . He said to the young people at the ceremony: "You are the future of this society and  you can convey great ideas to your audience with theater .The  Art of theater  is not an entertainer of arts, it is an art to promote human culture that can create a change in the mindset and  the worldview of the audience.”

"We will allocate a budget to support these works, given the task we have, as well as supporting the production," Karami added.
