In the meeting they discussed the cultural and artistic interactions between the two countries, in particular the introduction of Germany groups and artists to the Fajr International Theater Festival.
Shahram Karami, the director of the performing arts Center, mentioned the cultural and artistic link between the two countries in recent years and highlighted the quality of the famous theater performance from Germany over the past four years in Iran.
He responded to the words of the cultural advisor of the German embassy on current Iranian economic and political issues.
"We are not worried about economic and political conditions. Our country has become accustomed to these conditions and has always been trying to achieve the best result for all the country, despite all the problems. We have learned to manage the situation and hopefully, apart from this condition, we will shape the big event in this year for Fajr festival.”
Mr. Justus Kemper, the First Secretary and the Head of Cultural Department of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tehran, who during his four years in Iran, who has attended in three Fajr Theater Festivals in his four years in Iran, mentioned to the famous German group performances and said: " We hope that more diverse works from Germany will take part in this year's festival.”
Referring to the schedule of international theatrical groups, he said: "We will introduce our proposals for the next three weeks and it will be important for us to respond quickly."
Saeed Assadi also pointed out that the presence of German Theater groups in Iran has always been a pleasure for theater audience: We hope that this year, the best shows from your country will take part.
In the end The German cultural adviser emphasized that what matters is maintaining communication in difficult political conditions and expressing its interest in the long-term continuation of this relationship.
