Mehdi Mashhour’s The Silent House at Avignon Fest.

Iran Theater- After the successful performances in Germany, England and Canada, The silent House will go on stage at Off section in the seventy-second Festival d'Avignon.

The Festival d'Avignon, or Avignon Festival, is an annual arts festival held in the French city of Avignon every summer in July in the courtyard of the Palais des Papes as well as in other locations of the city. Founded in 1947 by Jean Vilar, it is the oldest extant festival in France and one of the world's greatest. Alongside the official festival, the "In" one, a number of shows are presented in Avignon at the same time of the year and are known as the "Off".

The silent House , which  is written and directed by  Mehdi Mashhour, is the  latest production of the Sayeh Theater Group, whose performances at international festivals have so far been welcomed by critics and audience.

The play depicts parts of the life of a woman and a man in a camp and is scheduled to go on  stage from July 23 for 3 nights with the collaboration of the French-Japanese International Garage Company at the Seventy-second Avignon Festival.

Shiva makinian and Benyamin  Esbati will play the main Characters.

Sarah Rasoolinejad as  Director of International Affairs, Fahimeh Hormozi  as Assistant Director, Hamid Reza Sadeghzadeh  as Designer of Poster and Graphic Designer and Saman Khalilian  as Project Consultant have cooperated with Mehdi Mashhour.

In the past, Sayeh Theater Group  has produced successful plays in European countries .
