The other is my concern over the past fourteen years

Iran Theater- The Other directed by Mohammad Hatami   has been  on the stage from 18 July to 16 August at 20:45 P.M in Hafez Hall, The cast  and the crew include: Khosrow Shahraz, Tomaj Danesh Behzadi from the "Praxis Theater" group, Nooshin Etemad, Laleh Marzban and Mohammad Hatami.Executive Director: Shirin Khashayi,  costume designer: Helia Shukri, Assistant Director:  peyman Belaghi, Photo: Alireza Shiva and Ali Dadegan :Public Relations and Media Consultant Mohamad Hatami  is a  theater, cinema and television actor, and director which,his latest play -pallet - was on stage at Iranshahr Theater Complex. The Other is is about the life of a Woman writer who is heavily involved with the events surrounding her and her last novel based on these events

 

 

Hatami, in response to the question that in recent years most of his works have touch of mental space and psycho-drama said: I like these kinds of spaces. The main idea dates back to 2004. The theme is my concerns over the past four decades, and based on my own experiences, small and big stories were combined and the  play created. I know all the characters . The story is about the life of woman’s writer who is seriously involved in the events surrounding her community, and her last novel, based on  these events, In a way She deeply involved with the story. In another play, characters are from different social classes, and as I was mentioned above The atmosphere of the play is the result of my life in this era. In "The other", there is a mental atmosphere, and we see the world from the author's point of view, Gradually, the process of writing the novel leads to the writer's distraction and has a bad effect on her personal life. She faces a serious challenge  with her husband, who is a  doctor.”

In The other , Mohammad Hatami is a director and actor. Is two work simultaneously challenging? He replie :”This is not the first time I'm both directing and acting . It's  O.K and I can  handle it.”

He said about the similarity between The Other with his previous works:” I wanted to complete my trilogy With The other, but the work expanded and became a five. Of course, in my previous plays, my view of psychological discussions was different from The Other.  Some Other philosophical aspects overcome psychological issues.”

The Other has been on stage untill  August 16 in Hafez Hall.
