Alireza Nasehi has presented two shows at 17th Tehran _Mobarak International Puppet festival:Non verbal “Kamancheh, Water and others” and “That Man Came”. “Kamancheh, Water and others competes in Indoor section and deals with Dehydration Issue. A 40 min play has Marriot Technique and Actors includes Alireza Nasehi, Peyman Meyabadi, Ali Dolatyari. Homa Khodajooe, Marjan Namvar Azad are puppeteer.”That Man Came” competes in Experimental Show section. A 15 min play has a Mix technique and the story is about palms of a puppeteer couple. They married to each other but man is drug addicted. Alireza Nasehi is actor of this play too.
He says about Kamancheh, Water and others: “The theme and concept of this show is "water" and that its untapped consumption has caused a large part of our farms and our natural resources to be destroyed. The fact is that in relation to such topics, so much direct messages have been made that the impact of these concepts on the audience is difficult to deal with. Since I focus more on nonverbal and pantomime shows, I'm looking for a way to present the concept indirectly and in a fantasy way to the audience. For this purpose, I used Marriot technique in which the body parts of the actors play in the form of dolls. The show is nonverbal and no musical.”
About his other show, He continues:” Due to the experimental nature of this Section, I came to the conclusion that the elements of this show can be only two hands of the actors through which we can create a show and communicate with the viewer .My hands play the role of a woman and a man who gets to know each other in the park and is involved in problems like drugs and ultimately their children are forced to become child labor.”
At the end, he says, "I think that at this edition of festival the works are very unique, and all of them have specific features that we may have seen so far less. I wish the puppet festival was not a biennial or we had at least a central focus on the production of puppet theater.”
