She has worked as a writer, director, producer and puppet maker in diverse plays. She said that she make a mental and emotional relationship with the characters and puppets world. she still get help from the child inside in order to reach puppet world. She revealed As long as this child is inside her, she will design and create puppet.
Fereshteh Ebrahimi said about the prospects of her activities:” Introducing puppet techniques and innovations is my main goal and I want to learn as much as I can.”
About What kind of puppet she is looking for creation
,she replied:” I like all my works and have tried to make each new puppet different from the previous one. Many of my puppets have been recognized in various festivals, but they have been distracted by the lack of continuity of performances. A puppet named BARFAK (snowflake) that I created for a television series was sometime popular among the audience, but it was forgotten about the end of the program. In recent years, I've created a character called "TANOMAND", which is a personality that is dramatic, but everyone who sees the puppet will fall in love with him. This puppet is in the mind and heart of those who have seen it. But to create a everlasting character, especially for children and adolescents, it is necessary to try and persist in the introduction of the personality and producer plays an important role.”
Does she think it is necessary to introduce the method or the new type of puppet into the world of theater in line with the growth of technology?, she said:” I think that because the world of the today children has dramatic changes, it does not mean that it can no longer introduce classical character to them. Let's remember the relationship of the old generation with the new one and the only thing that connects our world to the new generation is love and affection. This can also be done with the puppet. But, of course, you should be familiar with the jokes and fantasies of today’s Children. Also I have always tried to design and make new puppet in line with the audience's thinking.”
