In An Interview with Iran Theater
Arash Dadgar: The Theater is something like life

The theater is something like life. Theater is a compact life. This compression will turn ten years into ten days.
Iran Theater- Arash Dadgar studied acting at the University of Art and Architecture and directing at Tarbiat Modares University. He is always a good lecturer and good director. The creative ideas of Arash Dadgar are always examples.
"It" is the latest work by Arash Dadgar, a drama that, although it is supposed to narrate a straightforward criminal story, but the style of writing and the form of performing is in line with the "surprise ending" and is a complex narrative that requires the use of all five senses.
Arash Dadgar was supposed to run Macbeth, but changed his mind. He says: It was our plan to prepare Macbeth for the scene. But when I read Mr. Ahmadzadeh's play, I felt that what I was looking for was still not formed and it was necessary to work more on Shakespeare's MacBeth to get the text more complete. We needed time for Macbeth. On the other hand, the performance time was near and we booked Iranshahr Theater complex’s hall, and we had to think about another play. I first decided to reproduce the past works. I thought to restage proud return , horse or odyssey. During this time, one day Mehdi Tajeddini told me if you could think again about my play. Two years ago, I had read Mehdi Tajeddini's play. The strange relationship between me and "It" was established and I decided to prepare the play for stage.”
“IT" is a cluttered, crowded, and obscure show that keeps the audience confused to the end, and audience doesn’t observe changing scene, which may be somehow useful for an immediate audience focus.
He says: This is my style. I hate changing the scene. I believe that changing the scene is part of the scene itself. It is part of the scene. It should not be a separate thing and stop performances. The theater is something like life. Theater is a compact life. This compression will turn ten years into ten days. You'll narrate ten days in an hour or you can see the years in an hour. The spectator should reach this density.
Arash Dadgar believes that the culture has cost. The culture isn’t like a serum or the injection that should be injected. It is necessary to spend money on creating a change, so that culture plays a central role. The art of theater, cinema, painting, music and ... can create a fundamental change in society. We have to spend for them to produce something that does not have a momentous effect. An efficacious effect and the viewer can trust it.
