Koroush Zarei , Iranian stage director , which his latest play "The sun rises from Aleppo" has been on stage at Aleppo said to Iran Theater :” We heard that religious performances are popular in Syria, but the presence of nearly 1,000 spectators in the first night of the show "The sun rises from Aleppo" was unexpected for us in Aleppo.”

He continued:” In fact The sun rises from Aleppo is the first theater co-production between Iran and Syria. At the request of the Syrian Ministry of Arts and Culture, the pre-production began with of nearly 60 Syria theater actors about three months ago, and the first performance of the show  was last night in the city of Aleppo.”

At the end, he pointed out that The religious show "The sun rises from Aleppo" is the latest production of Mahana Center that runs nine more nights in the city of Aleppo, after which the group will go to Damascus for ten performances.”
