Amireza Koohestani will go to Munich with Macbeth

Iran Theater- The Münchner Kammerspiele, a state-funded German-language theatre company invited Amireza Koohestani to direct a new adaption of Macbeth.
Iran Theater- The Münchner Kammerspiele, a state-funded German-language theatre company invited Amireza Koohestani to direct a new adaption of Macbeth. "Macbeth" is the seventh directing experience of Amir Reza Koohestani in Germany. He previously directed two shows for The Münchner Kammerspiele.
He has been busy with pre-production and new adaption Shakespeare's Macbeth for a few months. Exercises begin on October 15th. The Show will be on stage from December 7th at the main Hall of The Münchner Kammerspiele. Mitera Najmabadi will be the stage designer. Negar Nemati will be Costume designer. It will be her sixth collaboration with Amireza Koohestani . Leili Rashidi, Saeed Changizian and Mona Ahmadi will star in Macbeth and Mohammad Reza Hosseinzadeh as Production Manager and Assistant Director, Shahriar Hatami as Scene Designer, Ali Shirkhodaee and Davoud Sadri, video makers will cooperate with Koohestani.
Amir Reza Koohestani was born in June 8th, 1978 in Shiraz, Iran. He was 16 when he began to publish short stories in local newspapers. Attracted to cinema, he took courses in directing and cinematography in 1995 and created two unfinished films. After a brief experience as performer, he devoted his time to write his first plays: And The Day Never Came (1999), which was never performed and The Murmuring Tales (2000) which received attracted critical acclaim in Tehran, during the 18th International Fadjr Theatre Festival. On May 22nd, 2018, he premiered Summerless – third part of a trilogy – in Brussels as part of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts. His upcomming projects are a short performance at La Comédie de Genève, on September 2018, an adaptation of Macbeth at the Münchner Kammerspiele, on December 2018, and an adaptation of The Kitchen by Arnold Wesker, in May 2019 at the Theater Freiburg.
