“Negar Javidan”; a Rich source for a Life Drama

Iran Theater- Ali Akbar Abdulalizadeh:Some events seem to be normal and are lost in our everyday life. Sometimes, an event that has been waiting for years to happens, come to the end and be forgotten. Some of the events are in a way that divides everything before and after themselves. The publication of “Negar Javidan: The life and works of Professor Mahmoud Farshchian” is  such an events.

This book, which symbolically unveiled at the opening ceremony of the Islamic Arts University of Mahmoud Farshchian, was the result of 14 years of struggle by Amir Rezaei Nabard, the artist and scholar of our country, and the most important achievements of the Study of works and life of Mahmoud Farshchian . The collection of documents and works of the artist, its research and writing lasted for a decade, and it took four years for publishing.

“Negar Javdian” is the first and most comprehensive scientific research and academic work on the life, works and thoughts of Professor Mahmoud Farshchian, and is an unparalleled model in the field of introducing artists, scholars and contemporary Scientists based on culture and art , people who have international influence.

The book include the beginning of the artistic career of this renowned painter, from eighty years ago to the present. The front page was designed by Professor Mahmoud Farshchian, the forward is written  by Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr, a professor at the Department of Islamic Studies at George Washington University, calligraphy has been done by Professor Gholam Hossein Amirkhani. Art director was Professor Bijan Janab. In that way The book has international standard. Professor Farshchian reviewd this book in depth in three different times .When he was in New Jersey, United States .he studied the book carefully and accurately. He wrote on most of the pages. Therefor publication of the book is done under the supervision of the Mahmoud Farchchian which has also been considered a unique experience.

 

Mahmoud Farshchian  is a master of persian painting and miniatures. He was born in the city of Isfahan in Iran, and it was here where he started to learn art, painting and sculpting.

His masterpieces have been hosted by several museums and exhibitions worldwide.He is the most prominent moderniser of the field of miniatures an art form which was first established in Ancient Persia and later spread to China and Turkey and other Middle eastern countries.
