Mohammad Rahmanian: He developed the language of Iranian plays

Iran Theater-On the occasion of  Mahmood Ostad Mohammad’s Birthday ,a Retrospect ceremony had held in Tehran’s City Theater Complex.

The ceremony was attended by a number of theater and movie artists such as  Mohammad Rahmanian, Shahram Gilabadi, Abolfazl Pour-Arab, Mahmoud Basiri, Sadr al-Din Zahed, Shokerkhoda Goudarzi, Abbas Javidan, Nader Borhani Marand, Ali Abedi and Hossein Mosafer Astana.

Referring to the main features of his  plays Mohammad Rahmanian said:” He developed the language of Iranian plays and gave it a new framework. He tried hard to record a particular group of people’s language in his plays.”

 Javad Atefeh, a spokeswoman of Mahmoud Ostad Mohamad Foundation, said: The first suggestion was to establish a prize for him. Then  it was planned to republish his works . Therefor  we released a call for someone whom  had a copy of the artist's plays, would give us a copy for recollecting his plays.

At the End of ceremony  “family photo” by Reza Bahrami which was based on Mahmood Ostad Mohamad’s play went on stage.
