Iran Theater- Ali Akbar Abdulalizadeh: Ali Montazeri is head of the Department of Drama and Dramatic Literature at Iranian Academy of the Arts. Ali Montazeri is a member of The Iranian Academy of Arts. He previously was the head of Jihad Danesghahi, the head of Performing Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, a member of the Founding Board of the Students News Agency of Iran (ISNA), as well as a member of the Founding Board of International Quran News Agency (IQNA), editor of the Scientific Research Journal.
Alireza Esmaeili, General Director of Iranian Academy of the Arts appointed Dr. Ali Montazeri as the heads of Department of Drama and Dramatic Literature one month ago.
Ali Montazeri said about the main purpose of the group:” The most important thing we are looking for is to evaluate the status of performing arts and report it to the authorities. Those who are themselves theater actors may not find some issues, but we can look better from the outside and help them more If necessary, Some amendments will be approved by the Islamic Consultative Assembly to provide theoretical, professional and practical support. In this group, it is determined what is the ideas of Iranian Academy of the Arts about drama so to be considered as a benchmark. Of course, it's hard to achieve such a place, but with the help of the renowned and younger artists and professors we can do it.”
Ali Montazeri added:” According to the Academy's Code of Practice , Our duty is to make policy and theorize. So Academy of Arts can say what is Iran position in the field of arts. We look at our position towards neighbors countries, towards the world and towards ourselves, and it's different from builds a Theater complex or theater hall . This is not our job. It’s related to other organizations.”
